Mike's Post: Chocolate Milk is the Ultimate Post Workout Drink

After watching Mike casually reach into a small cooler and greedily chug down a cool and refreshing quart of chocolate milk at the end of last week's Wednesday night team run, a debate broke out among the team.

It went something like this:
XC runner #1: What is he doing? Really, Mike, chocolate milk!
(The team pauses and watches as Mike chugs.)
Mike: (Mike finished and satisfied wipes his choc milk mustache off with his forearm and smiles.) Yah!
Mrs. H: Hey, chocolate milk's good for you! Last year it was promoted as the new sports drink.
XC runner #2: Oh yah...Michael Phelps drinks it! Doesn't he?
XC runner #3: I don't believe it! It's just a bunch of sugar and milk.
(Team members let their opinions fly back and forth.)
Mrs. H: OK, Mike! Here's your assignment. I want you to give the team info on the benefits of drinking choc milk. If you can find some good stuff, we'll post it on the blog.

Alright XC team, here are the facts.
Check out the link that Mike sent me:

Check it out! And, raise those bottles of choc milk high! It's good for you.

  1. Ha Ha Ha Mike! I suppose you've convinced me to try chocolate milk (again), but what about white milk? Isn't that just as healthy?

    And...nice rooftop picture!

  3. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...... that was not at all the conversation that i remember. And filled with much drama, i feel porrly portrayed. For one, half of my words would ahve been misspelled.
Anywho, it was an Anonymous brand, for an Anonymous blog follower person. and White milk is the exact opposite, instead of being healthier it only works against you, and draggs you down turning your actin into thin messes rather than the sturdy stuff that they should be.
(all healthe info was made up, but might aswell be true becasue chocolate milk is better)

Well being the good Catholic Ranger that i am, i would suggest that you have to bear this suffering with Joy. If the inheriatly wonderful content of chocolate milk disheartens your stoumach... then offer it up! There is plenty that still needs saving in this world, you know with the coming darkness and all...(The dark lord, Saruon, is on the move)
White milk on the other hand does not contain as much virtue...see here be an analogy. Speaking in terms of herb lore: Milk is like kingsfoil, "white" and "chocolate" are the different uses of it, curing head aches or healing the wounds of the Witch King, resectfully. With the "flavor" of white the healing is done but not to such a great magnitude, worthy of great stories or praise. But it is still usuing the essance of milk. With chocolate a great deed is done with the same base element, just raised to a higher calling. And is therefore able to heal more, calling for far more praise.
Therefore chocolate milk is better. Ah, but you might be wondering why then it would not taste as fair if the virtue greater. And here would be the seemingly logical solution... in the end it is still kingsfoil... er, um... milk. The taster can have his preferance but the outcome of one flavor is great than the other.
    The end.
